Re-creation

Re-creation is a personal search to understand the structure of Persian miniatures. By applying classic rules of composition to these traditional paintings, the work explores how they fit together, looking for the lines and proportions that connect the figures across the page. Images are printed on various surfaces and layered with different materials, from paint to industrial scraps. This was a personal way to see the paintings more clearly and explore the physical space between the people and objects inside them.
